The Triggering events were the different taxes introduced and repealed from 1764-1773 most resulted in a form of riot after being released.

1756-63/Seven Years War- The seven years war was a conflict between the French and the Indian and resulted in the treaty of Paris in 1763. 1764/Sugar Act- The sugar act was a tax, where any merchant in the 13 colonies had to pay 6 pence per gallon on the importation of foreign sugar and molasses. 1765/Stamp Act- The stamp act was a new tax on all american colonists that required them to pay for every piece of printed paper used. 1770/Boston Massacre- The Boston Massacre was a mob of angry colonists that were throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks at British soldiers. 5 were killed. 1776/Boston Tea Party- a group Massachusetts colonists disguised themselves as Mohawks, boarded 3 British tea ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston harbour.
